In the LGBTQIA+ community we are like family because we know all too well how important it is for us to stick together especially in a world that is constantly criticizing our very existence.
Unfortunately being part of a small community that is negatively targeted creates feelings of isolation, trust issues, depression, stifled expression, self criticism, anxiety and other issues that we just don’t talk about enough.
Rather you’re out and proud, tucked in the closet or somewhere in between these feelings are universal in our community.
Coming out as a teen
I felt like there was no support available to me. It was just not accepted and although society has made some pretty impressive moves in the last decade we still have a long way to go before people stop focusing on the nuances of gender and laser focus on the foundation of it all.
LOVE
This realization sparked my passion to create a safe space where queer people feel seen, heard and supported and it means so much to me to be able to offer a peaceful, judgement free zone to uncover the root causes of traumas that most people in the queer community face.
